PTE Cebu

1. Read the question/task first.
There are two kinds of prompts in this section of the PTE reading exam: question and sentence completion. Whichever it is, it’s crucial that you read and understand it first before you dive into the text.

Take note of the prompt’s keywords (e.g., nouns, verbs, etc.). If it’s a sentence completion prompt, pay attention to the words before and after the blank as well. Doing this will give you an idea of what information to look for when you read the passage. So, practice this approach during your Pearson Test of English Philippines classes.

2. Assess the options.
The choices can be words, phrases, or sentences. Before you read the passage, consider the prompt and determine which of the options are the most and least likely to be correct. It’ll help you pinpoint the answers in the text faster. It’ll also help you narrow down your answer if you can’t determine the right one.

3. Know what you can and cannot do.
Left-click the option you think is correct to select it. If you want to change your choice, you can either left-click your selected option to de-select it or left-click another option. Keep these in mind during your PTE Cebu training sessions.

4. Consider how you’re going to be scored.
You get a point if your answer is correct. You won’t get credit if you didn’t select an option or you failed to pick the right answer.
