Having
an accent isn’t really that important in the PTE exam. You don’t need to have
an American or British accent to get a high grade in the test. Understanding

various English accents. You can only listen to the recordings once. So, if you

Interacting
with native English speakers doesn’t just expose you to various accents, it
also immerses you in vocabulary specific to a place or culture. You’ll expand
your knowledge of slang and expressions. Likewise, you can be assured that
you’re using the words and expressions correctly—something that you can’t
guarantee if you relied solely on mainstream media to expand your colloquial
knowledge. Conversing with someone confident with language will also build up
your confidence in using them.
3. You’ll get constructive criticisms about your speaking
skills.
Native
speakers can help you refine your linguistic abilities. They can tell you if
you’re phrasing is understandable and if your word choice is on-point. They can
also give you advice on how to improve your speaking skills. These are all good
practice since you’re aiming to move to an English-speaking country once you
secure your PTE grade goals.
4. You’ll get a deeper understanding of their culture and
language.
This
is something that you can’t obtain from a PTE online review. Constantly conversing with native English speakers exposes you
to their perspectives on various topics and issues. You’ll learn what’s
considered acceptable and unacceptable in their culture. You’ll also learn what
to expect if you’re planning to move to their home country.
