6 Language Learning Tips for PTE Test Takers

Did you know that the secret behind guaranteeing PTE success lies in intensive and exhaustive PTE review? So, don’t waste a single second of your training period. Locate the PTE review packages available in your area, enroll in the best one, and make the most out of each class session.

But, don’t confine your training efforts inside your classroom in the PTE review center in Manila. Take every opportunity to enhance your linguistic abilities. Here are six things you can do during your spare time to elevate your English communicative skills.
  1. Dissect everything you read.
Whether you’re reading an advertisement slogan, a paragraph-long news story, or a literary masterpiece, always read with intent. Pay attention to how the writer framed the story or sentence and how it can influence the reader’s understanding. Consider also the text’s style, word-choice, and overall structure.

  2. Stick your notes everywhere.
Condense complex lesson points into a sentence or two. Write down these summaries on a sticky note and then attach them to easy-to-spot locations. You can also do this for difficult-to-remember vocabulary words and expressions.

  3. Scatter impromptu English tasks in your home.
It’ll help you stay on top of your game even during your downtimes. Here’s how to do this without totally spoiling yourself.

    1. List down questions and short tasks about PTE review center in Manila lectures. For example, let’s say your latest class is all about sentence structures. Your impromptu tasks can be about coming up with sentences using simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex formats.
Pro-Tip: List your questions and prompts during class so that you can pattern them after the ones given by the instructor.

    2. Write each question or prompt on a sticky note. Write one task per sticky note sheet.

    3. Give your stack of sticky notes to a housemate. Have them scatter these papers in various places in your home throughout the week. But, ask them to do so backwards—with the side that has writing away facing from your view. They can fold the top part of the paper or use tape to do this

    4. Collect and answer these notes as you go. Keep a pen with you when you go about your daily activities. Answer each sticky note you encounter as soon as you find them. Write your answer at the back of the paper.

  4. Integrate English into your daily activities.
Making your grocery shopping list? Write down the English names of the items you’re going to search for. Swapping stories with your friends or siblings? Share your stories in English. Take every opportunity to use the language outside of your PTE review packages.

  5. Immerse yourself in English media.
Watch English films and television series. Listen to English songs, podcasts, and news broadcasts. Pay attention to how native English speakers talk. Consider how their accents affect their tone and pronunciation. Use subtitles whenever you can. It’ll help you remember not just how words are pronounced but how they’re spelled as well.

  6. Think in English.
Studies show that using a foreign or secondary language when mulling over something close to your heart will help you be more rational and objective. So, start making an effort to think in English. Not only will it enhance your decision-making skills but it’ll also elevate your confidence in using the language.
